Thibaut Courtois is set to be fast-tracked back into the Chelsea team this weekend, Football Insider sources understand.

The Chelsea No1 is in line to return to the side for Saturday’s Premier League home match against Bournemouth after three months out with a knee injury.

A Chelsea source told Football Insider that Jose Mourinho is ready to recall fit-again Courtois even though Asmir Begovic has performed well during the Belgian’s lengthy absence.

Courtois has been training for the last two weeks and has convinced the staff that he is ready to be thrown into a high-intensity league encounter.

Mourinho regards Courtois as one of the finest goalkeepers in the world and is keen to re-integrate him back into the team behind a defence that has struggled during much of his time on the sidelines.
