Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder will decide whether to sign for Arsenal or Sevilla in the next few hours, according to a journalist.

Ludo Deroin, an experienced journalist for French broadcasters Canal Sport, has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the 25-year-old attacker is weighing up options to move to London or Spain.

Deroin’s post on Tuesday morning translates as, ‘Wissam Ben Yedder should sign for Arsenal or Sevilla in the next hours. Close source.’

Yedder scored 17 times in 35 Ligue 1 appearances last season, as his side narrowly avoided relegation by one point.

The 25-year-old has spent his entire career in the south of France, since signing his first professional contract in 2010.

He has just one year left on his current deal, which could help Arsenal secure the move.

The north London side are becoming more frantic in their search for a striker, with Jamie Vardy and Gonzalo Higuain both reportedly turning down moves to join the Gunners this summer.

Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in a striker for the forthcoming campaign, with Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott the only experienced options available at the moment.

The French manager has also recently admitted that he is prepared to spend big money this summer and Eurosport reported on Saturday that Mahrez was close to joining Arsenal in a £42million deal.

In other Arsenal transfer news, the Gunners have made an approach for Germany international Shkodran Mustafi.
