Didier Zokora played in 135 fixtures for Tottenham between 2006 and 2009, and even started in their 2008 League Cup final win against Chelsea, but where is he now?

The 35-year-old was brought to north London by former manager Martin Jol 10 years ago in an £8.6million deal from French outfit Saint-Etienne.

He built up a reputation for being a force in the defensive midfield and provided a good engine in the heart of the Spurs team during his time at the club.

His career started in his home country the Ivory Coast with ASEC Mimosas, before he moved to Belgian side Genk at the age of 20.

He chalked up 130 appearances for Genk, featuring in the 2002 Jupiler League winning team before making the move to Saint-Etienne in 2004.

Zokora lasted just two years in Ligue 1 and became a key player for the French outfit before switching to Jol’s Tottenham.

The 123-time capped international continued to impress around Europe and left Spurs in 2008 for La Liga outfit Sevilla, who put a £25million release clause in his contract.

The combative midfielder enjoyed success with Sevilla too and in his two-year stay at the club he managed to play the full 90 minutes in the Spanish side’s 2010 Copa del Rey win over Atletico Madrid.

He eventually left Sevilla in 2011 for Turkish side Trabzonspor and his career has been on a steady decline since.

Zokora has featured 148 times for Trabzonspor, Akhisar Belediyespor and Pune City in the last five years, but his current side are NorthEast United in the Indian Super League.

After 13 games, the Indian side are currently in fifth place in the Indian Super League, which is made up of just eight teams.

The club are currently one point behind Kerala Blasters for the Championship play-off spot, and Zokora has contributed by playing in 12 of the 13 matches this season.

He will now be looking for one final piece of silverware to add to his League Cup, Jupiler League trophy and Copa del Rey wins.

While his time at Tottenham came to an early end, he never featured for another team as many times as he did Spurs and his years at White Hart Lane hold some of his greatest career memories.
