Tottenham academy starlet Shilow Tracey has revealed that first team attacker Son Heung-min is always scoring in training.

The north London outfit have often been criticised for their lack of goals and over-reliance on Harry Kane for them this season.

This has seen Spurs occupy fifth place in the table despite losing just two matches with six draws and nine victories.

However, Tracey, who made the move to Spurs from Ebbsfleet last January has spoken of how South Korean ace Son is always applying the finishes in training.

“Whenever I see him in training he looks very sharp, always scoring as usual,” told Tracey to the Spurs matchday programme on Sunday, as quoted by the Hertfordshire Mercury.

“He hits the target all the time in training and it’s very good to be able to watch what he does.

“Personally, I’d like to improve on my left foot shooting because Sonny has got a very good left foot. Also his close ball control and the way he beats players is something I’d like to add.

“He’s got quick feet and you can’t really get tight to him anywhere on the pitch because of that.”

Son experienced a good run of form in the first team earlier in the campaign, which saw him bag five goals in five games.

However, he has since dropped out of the starting eleven with just one goal coming from his last 15 appearances.

He has been limited to just 31 minutes on the pitch in the last two fixtures against Burnley and Hull, but he will be keen to break back into the starting line-up with Tottenham targeting the top four.

The north London outfit are currently one point behind fierce rivals Arsenal in fourth, but they have a tough clash against Southampton coming up next.
