Enner Valencia’s agent has broken the silence on his client’s situation, claiming Italy is likely to be his next destination.

The West Ham forward has been linked with a move to Serie A giants Lazio for the majority of the transfer window with his place in the first-team not assured.

The Ecuadorian international’s agent Gonzalo Vargas has revealed that Valencia wants to leave and confirmed that he and Valencia will be returning to East London soon for talks on the matter.

“We’re going to England in the next few days with Enner to talk to West Ham,” said Vargas in an interview with Lazio website La Lazio Siamo Noi.

He added: “He wants to leave, although he is not making an obsession out of it because, unlike some reports, he does have a good relationship both with the coach and with his teammates.”

The versatile 26-year-old has had two mixed seasons with West Ham since joining from Pachuca in 2014 for £12 million, scoring just 10 goals in a claret and blue shirt.

However his form for his country is very different, scoring 16 goals in 29 appearances and Vargas claimed that his client wants to play as high as he can.

Vargas added to La Lazio Siamo Noi: “Lazio have shown a real interest and that’s an option that Enner is particularly keen on.

“Roma also like him, but only Lazio have made a move through their management. West Ham want to recoup the outlay on him, but Enner is not interested in that.”

With Valencia set to leave, and Senegalese forward Diafra Sakho handing in a transfer request, manager Slaven Bilic is left with just Andy Carroll up-front.

The Croatian manager has been linked with bringing in Robin van Persie and Carlos Bacca, after missing out on Michy Batshuayi, Carlos Tevez and Vincent Janssen.

In other West Ham news, this German star could also replace Valencia.
