Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has stated on Twitter that he is “focused” for the north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

The 23-year-old winger was named on the bench for the showdown despite playing 77 minutes during the 4-1 thumping of Sunderland last Saturday.

Nonetheless, England international Oxlade-Chamberlain will be hoping his side can secure a vital three points at the Emirates Stadium.

He posted this message on his personal Twitter account:

Versatile attacker Oxlade-Chamberlain has played 14 Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup games this term scoring five and assisting three.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has started four of his eight Premier League games this season, with Alex Iwobi and Walcott keeping him out of the team.

A win for Arsenal would take them top of the Premier League table on 26 points, but a victory for Spurs would mean they would go level with the Gunners going into the international break.

In other Arsenal team news, Alan Shearer believes these four Tottenham midfielders need to up their game for the north London derby on Sunday.
