Michail Antonio expressed his delight on Twitter after West Ham progressed to the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

The Hammers completed a 2-1 home victory against Chelsea on Wednesday night and have been rewarded with a match against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the next round.

Cheikhou Kouyate and Edmilson Fernandes put West Ham in a comfortable position, before Gary Cahill netted a consolation in stoppage time.

However, ugly scenes off the pitch, and in the stands have grabbed the headlines, with home and away supporters reportedly chucking plastic bottles, chairs and coins at one another.

The result means that Slaven Bilic’s side have now won their last three games in all competitions and have begun to find form after a disappointing start to the season.

Antonio was thrilled with the performance of his side and believes every player deserves credit.

“Great game last night, good performance from all,” Antonio wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Antonio moved to east London last summer in a £7million move from Championship side Nottingham Forest.

The highly-rated wideman has been in good form in front of goal in the new campaign with five goals from 14 appearances.

In the latest West Ham news, Sofiane Feghouli delivered a two-word Twitter verdict after the win against Chelsea.
