Michail Antonio has claimed Romelu Lukaku would be his dream signing for West Ham this summer.

The versatile Hammers star revealed on the Fantasy Football Club show that the Everton striker has been his toughest opponent this season.

Lukaku has scored 25 goals in 37 matches in all competitions, of which 18 have come from 29 Premier League appearances.

Asked which opponent he has come up against this season that he would most want West Ham to sign, Antonio replied without hesitation: “Lukaku. He’s just a threat, he’s got everything that you need for a striker, so would be good competition for me. Lukaku, without a doubt.”

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is in the market for a new striker this summer, with Christian Benteke, Wilfried Bony and Alexandre Lacazette among those on his target list.

Antonio has had an excellent debut campaign for the high-flying Londoners following his transfer from Nottingham Forest last August.

The 26-year-old has scored seven goals from 25 matches, mainly from right midfield although he has also filled in at right-back on a number of occasions.

In other West Ham news, the club are closing in on two new signings that they are hopeful of tying up long before the summer window formally opens.
