Marcus Antonsson was ecstatic on Twitter after Leeds secured an impressive 3-2 win away at Norwich on Saturday.
Midfield ace Ronaldo Vieira stole the headlines in an enthralling match that saw the teenage wonderkid hammer home a shot into the bottom corner from 25 yards out in injury time.
The Swedish striker revealed his pride on his personal Twitter account, as well as heaping praise on Leeds’ travelling fans.
Antonsson was an unused substitute during the match, despite moving from Swedish outfit Kalmar FF for a pricey £2million in the summer.
With Souleymane Doukara starting against the Canaries, game time for Antonsson could be few and far between as he slips down the striker pecking order.
The 25-year-old has made 14 appearances in both league and cup for the Yorkshire giants this term, scoring only three goals.
Leeds’ ninth win in 12 games sees them move into a playoff spot in the Championship, a world away from languishing above the drop zone earlier this season.
The Yorkshire giants will be looking to consolidate their position in the top six as they play host to Newcastle on November 20 in front of Elland Road’s first sell-out crowd in six years.
In other Leeds news, James Beattie has identified where Monk’s side can improve despite the win.
