Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is set be out of action until mid-December, according to a report.

The IB Times claim that the striker has sustained ankle ligament damage after a challenge from Reading defender Danzell Gravenberch.

The report details that Perez will miss all of the games in November, which includes matches against Tottenham, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

It is understood that he could be out of action for six weeks after medical tests confirmed  the extent of the injury, which rules him out until virtually the start of the busy Christmas period.

The Spaniard was forced off in the second-half in the EFL Cup fourth-round, which the Gunners won 2-0 thanks to an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain brace.

Perez, 28, has endured a frustrating start to his Gunners career since his arrival at the Emirates in the summer.

The striker had now made six appearances for Arsenal and his only goals were a brace against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup earlier stages.

Manager Arsene Wenger does have several attacker to choose from and has preferred in-form Sanchez to spearhead the attack at the beginning of the season.

The striker impressed at his former club Deportivo in Spain, scoring 24 goals in just 59 appearances for them, something he will hope to replicate at the Emirates.
