Arsenal and Tottenham both sent scouts to watch Blackpool youngster Bright Osayi-Samuel on Tuesday night, according to a report.

Osayi, 18, played the full 90 minutes and was booked in the second half as the League Two club conceded in the 94th minute to be held to a 1-1 draw at Barnet.

The Daily Express claim Tottenham and Arsenal both had recruitment experts present at the match, and there were also scouts from several Championship clubs.

Osayi has been a part of the Blackpool first team since March 2014, and has played 34 times without scoring for the senior side.

Blackpool were relegated from League One at the end of last season, and this season Osayi has started in all three of Blackpool’s League Two matches as they sit mid-table.

Born in Nigeria, the 18-year-old was raised in Spain before moving to England aged 10 where he progressed through the Blackpool youth set-up.

Earlier this year the winger revealed that, given the opportunity ,he would opt to represent his birth nation of Nigeria at international level, rather than England or Spain.

Tottenham are on the look out for young additions and were said to be set to bid for 21-year-old goalkeeper Pau Lopez from Espanyol on Tuesday.

Spanish outlet AS claim Spurs will imminently up their initial £1.7million offer for the 21-year-old but the Spanish club will refuse to sell unless the Londoners meet his £13million release clause.

In other Tottenham transfer news, they have blocked a loan deal but are keen on £12million permanent transfer for a fringe player.
