Arsenal ace Granit Xhaka believes he is playing for a club “with a lot of class” and has said how proud he is to be a Gunner.
Midfielder Xhaka was purchased by Arsene Wenger during the summer transfer window for a fee of £35 million from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 24-year-old has since become a fan favourite amongst the Arsenal support for his personality and ability on the ball.
Xhaka has now given an insight into what the first three playing months at the Emirates have been like.
“I’m really enjoying it here,” said Xhaka in a Q&A for supporters, as quoted by the Mail. “Everything goes as planned, and things are really well planned here, regardless of if we are playing home or away.
“You can see it’s a club with a lot of class and that shows with everything. I’m very proud to play for such a club, to be a Gunner.
“That makes me doubly proud to have joined this team. It’s the perfect path.”
Xhaka has made nine Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup appearances for Wenger’s side since his big-money move from Germany, scoring two goals.
The Switzerland international has played a pivotal part in the Gunners recording five wins on the bounce in all competitions, including recent success in the Premier League.
Wenger’s men are third with 16 points from their seven games, and they host Bob Bradley’s Swansea on Saturday afternoon.
