Arsenal fans took to Twitter to mock David Moyes after he offered a bizarre assessment of Mesut Ozil on Sunday.

Ozil added to his outstanding Premier League assists haul when he created Arsenal’s second goal for Aaron Ramsey against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Ozil’s disguised pass after 33 minutes was converted by Ramsey to give the Gunners a 2-0 advantage at Villa Park after Olivier Giroud had put them in front from the penalty spot.

It was the German’s 13th assist in his 15th Premier League match this season, the most by an Arsenal player in the competition in the same campaign since Cesc Fabregas supplied 13 assists in 2009/10.

However, ex-Manchester United manager David Moyes is still not convinced by the Gunners’ £40million record signing.

Speaking on Sky Sports before the Arsenal clash at Aston Villa, Moyes gave a less than glowing assessment on the German.

“I think the jury’s still out on Mesut Ozil,” said Moyes.

Ozil’s pass to set up Ramsey extended his lead at the head of the Premier League assists summit, with the playmaker directly creating twice as many goals as his nearest rival.

The Arsenal man’s closest challenger is Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu, who has provided seven assists this season.

Moreover, no player in the English top flight has produced more than Ozil’s 27 Premier League assists since the German joined Arsenal in the summer of 2013.
