Arsenal fans fears arose on Twitter after midfielder Granit Xhaka picked up a red card for Switzerland against Portugal on Tuesday evening.
Switzerland pulled off an impressive 2-0 victory against Portugal, which was marred by Xhaka getting sent off in stoppage time.
The £30million new signing picked up three red cards for Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach last season and has already been booked once in his first three matches for the Gunners.
Some Arsenal fans are scared that Xhaka has poor discipline, while others are happy to see a “hard man” in their midfield, which they feel has been lacking from their side in recent years.
Granit Xhaka was sent off 7 times since April 2014.
First red card for Switzerland tonight.
Arsenal should be aware of that. #AFC

Xhaka getting sent off so he misses international matches to focus on Arsenal. That's the elite mentality we've been searching for. #AFC

That is if he Xhaka doesn't change to be a "nice guy" like the others in the team. Too many nice guys doesn't win the league 2/2 #afc

Starting to really worry about Xhaka getting these yellows. Shows he might not be physically up to par to play alone in the DM position.#AFC

The 23-year-old has featured in all three of Arsenal’s opening fixtures of the new campaign, starting in two of them.
It would appear that he is ahead of duo Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny in Arsene Wenger’s defensive midfield pecking order.
Arsenal have struggled to find a defensive midfielder after Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva departed from the north London club.
However, Gunners fans will be hoping that Xhaka will be the man to finally replace the steel in their midfield.
In other Arsenal team news, Jack Wilshere has held talks with Arsene Wenger about signing a new three-year deal with the Gunners.
