Santi Cazorla has failed to make the Arsenal squad to take on Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon- and fans on Twitter were hoping he is not injured.
Spaniard Cazorla has been a pivotal part of the north London club’s midfield this season, making eight league appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side.
The 31-year-old played 57 minutes in his sides last fixture, as they beat Ludogorets 6-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
As Wenger decided not to name Cazorla in the 18-man squad to face Boro, supporters did question whether he was injured, but were pretty happy with his replacements in Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny.

Good team today, hopefully Cazorla is just precautionary, Coq-Elneny will secure the midfield well against the likes of Traore and Negredo

I hope that Cazorla isn't out for too long

The Gunners are in red-hot form in the league this season, winning their last six encounters and could go top, if results go their way.
Arsene Wenger’s side are currently in second place, level on points with Manchester City, who have 19 points and host Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
They take on a Middlesbrough side that are hovering above the relegation zone, with no league win since August, as they now face a tough trip to the Emirates.
Nonetheless, Arsenal will be looking to pick up another three points today, in what is Wenger’s 67th Birthday.
