Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate the spectacular Premier League return of striker Olivier Giroud.

He came off the bench to score Arsenal’s second goal in a comfortable 4-1 win with his first touch of the game after a cross from Kieran Gibbs.

His second goal came with a glancing header from a Mesut Ozil corner.

It was an incredible match-winning performance from Giroud off the bench after he’s struggled for game-time this season.

Here is a selection of tweets from an extremely happy set of Arsenal fans:

The two goals were Giroud’s first in six appearances in all competitions this season, and should give Wenger a good selection headache as the team play Ludogorets in the Champions League on Tuesday, before hosting rivals Tottenham in the Premier League next Sunday.

It’s a timely return to form for Giroud, coming on the back of a long-term injury for new striker Lucas Perez which will see him sidelined until December.

In other Arsenal news, TV pundit and former striker Alan Smith has pinpointed this problem ahead of Arsenal’s title challenge this season.
