Cesc Fabregas could be sent out on loan as he has fallen out-of-favour with Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte this season and Arsenal fans reacted with amusement to the news on Twitter.
The former Arsenal captain has made just six appearances for Chelsea this season, including just one Premier League start, and has had to watch most games from the bench.
Conte has overlooked the midfielder and he could be sent out on loan as a result, according to reports in The Times newspaper.
Fabregas made his only league start against Arsenal in September but his return to the Emirates was a hugely disappointing one as his side were thrashed 3-0.
The Spaniard lasted just 55 minutes before he was substituted and he has not featured for Chelsea since, sitting out every game throughout October.
The 29 year-old has notched up just 87 minutes in the Premier League this season, with three of his four league appearances coming off the bench.
While at Arsenal, Fabregas was considered one of the best midfielders in Europe and he became an icon as he notched up 212 league appearances, scoring 35 goals.
However, his departure to Barcelona in August 2011 for £30 million left Arsenal fans feeling sour as their talisman went in search of silverware.
Samir Nasri and Robin Van Persie followed shortly afterwards and Arsenal’s bitterness towards their former player was clear by the majority of their reactions on social media.
Here is a selection of the messages on Twitter:
Let's sign Fabregas on loan and take him to the female team. It'll be absolutely brilliant.

From a Barca reject to a Chelsea reject to being sent on loan. Safe to say Fabregas has reached the lowest point of his career.
