Arsenal have left striker Olivier Giroud out of the squad against Burnley at Turf Moor – and fans have taken to Twitter to discuss where the France international might be.

The 30-year-old striker hasn’t featured for the Gunners since September 24th against Chelsea, where he played 10 minutes.

He has featured in three other clashes for the north London side in the new campaign, remaining goalless and also receiving a red card against Paris Saint-Germain.

However, fans on social media were surprised that the forward didn’t even make the bench with Giroud a notable absentee from the match day squad.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Manager Arsene Wenger made one change to his starting eleven which beat Basel in the Champions League in midweek.

The change has seen goalkeeper Petr Cech step in for Colombia international David Ospina, who is called upon when the Gunners compete in cup competitions.

Arsenal could move up to third place in the Premier League with a victory over Burnley, leapfrogging Everton and Liverpool in the process.

In other Arsenal team news, Burnley boss Sean Dyche has said that Arsene Wenger doesn’t get enough credit for nurturing homegrown, talent before their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
