Granit Xhaka made his 50th international appearance for Switzerland during their 2-0 victory against the Faroe Islands on Sunday evening.
The Arsenal summer signing was named in the starting XI for his country as they recorded a comfortable victory in their World Cup qualifier.
The 24 year-old is one of the youngest players in the current Switzerland squad and shared the landmark number of appearances with compatriot Admir Mehmedi.
Xhaka made his international debut at the age of just 18 in a European qualifier against England in June 2011 and completed the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw.
He was impressive for his country at the 2016 World Cup and since joining Arsenal in the summer, the talented midfielder has continued his bright form, notching up 12 appearances under Arsene Wenger.
He scored his debut goal for the club against Hull City during a 4-1 victory in September and has found the back of the net on a further two occasions.
