Mohamed Elneny has hinted why he has not been named in the Arsenal squad for Sunday’s Premier League showdown against Bournemouth.
The January signing took to social media site Twitter on Sunday to explain that he had become a parent again.
“New baby thanks allah” tweeted Elneny after Arsenal fans had questioned why he was not in the 18-man matchday squad for Sunday’s fixture.

Elneny had an impressive Arsenal debut in last weekend’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Burnley but was then overlooked completely for the midweek goal-less draw against Southampton.
He was pictured in training on Saturday, which suggested he was fit to feature in the clash on the south coast on Sunday afternoon.
Since joining the Gunners from Basle in January in a £5million deal, the Egyptian has posted pictures on his Instagram account of his young son in an Arsenal shirt.
