Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes Tottenham striker Harry Kane has the potential to develop into a better player than Luis Suarez.

TalkSport pundit Parlour lauded England international Kane by claiming he has all the attributes to match the Barcelona ace.

Former Liverpool striker Suarez is renowned as one of the most deadly attackers in the world, having scored an astonishing 92 goals in 106 appearances for his current club Barcelona.

But former Gunners man Parlour believes one attribute of Kane’s is similar to the former Premier League player, as he made his bold claim.

“Would Harry Kane be better than Suarez at the moment? Probably not,” Parlour told TalkSport. “But he could develop into a better player than Suarez – he has got all the attributes to do that.

“He is a great finisher, his work rate is excellent as well, just like Suarez. Harry is certainly a player who can be the future for England.”
Kane was the top scorer in the 2015-16 Premier League campaign with 25 goals in 38 games, with Suarez scoring 31 goals in 33 games in the 2013-14 season, before his £75 million transfer to the Nou Camp, where he has taken his goalscoring to an even more elevated level.
Overall, Suarez scored 82 goals and provided 53 assists for the Merseyside club in 133 appearances, while Kane has scored 66 goals and assisted 11 in the same number of games.
Kane is currently on the treatment table with an ankle injury and has scored two goals in the Premier League to Suarez’ five in La Liga this term.
