Gabriel took part in Arsenal’s training session on Saturday ahead of the team’s Premier League trip to Manchester United, Football Insider sources understand.

The centre-back was back with the full squad after missing three matches with a hamstring injury.

Manager Arsene Wenger said at his media briefing on Friday that the Brazilian would undergo fitness tests before being given the all-clear to play at Old Trafford in Sunday’s Premier League showdown.

The likelihood is that Gabriel will now be named in the matchday squad to face United as Arsenal attempt to keep the pressure on leaders Leicester, who beat Norwich 1-0 on Saturday to extend their lead to five points.

In other Arsenal team news, Mesut Ozil was rested from training on Saturday, although he is in contention to start at Old Trafford.
