Mesut Ozil is expected to miss Arsenal’s first game of the season after partying at a Las Vega nightclub with Liverpool’s Emre Can.

The duo have been pictured on vacation in the United States party location following Euro 2016.

The Mirror claims that Ozil is unlikely to be match-fit for his side’s crucial Premier League opener against Liverpool on August 14.

The Germany international played in all six of his team’s matches at Euro 2016 before they were knocked out by France at the semi-final stage.

Can was a fringe player for Joachim Low’s team and is likely to be given a shorter rest by Liverpool before being summoned to pre-season training.

Ozil topped the Premier League assists chart with 19 last season, and has also weighed in with six goals in his 35 matches. In all competitions, he scored eight goals and supplied 20 assists from 45 appearances.

Arsenal’s marquee talisman has been vocal throughout the transfer window after trying to persuade more international stars to join him in north London, but could now miss his club’s thrilling opening tie in his 2016-17 domestic campaign.

In other Arsenal news, Hector Bellerin is delighted to be linked with a move to Manchester City despite being happy at Arsenal, according to his agent.
