Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is a target for Watford, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim that the Hornets remain in the race for the England international stating that they would look to play the 21-year-old at centre back.
It is said that the Gunners will consider what is on the table for Chambers once they have made their own defensive additions this summer.
It is believed that Arsenal are keen to bring in another centre-half and a right-back. Bolton’s Rob Holding is expected to join Arsenal in the next few days, but the 20-year-old is expected to be loaned straight back out.
Torino wing back Bruno Peres is also an option for Arsene Wenger’s first team and they have made opening enquiries, though they face competition from Premier League champions Leicester.
Chambers joined Arsenal from Southampton in the summer of 2014 for a fee that could rise to £16million.
The youngster has been deployed as a centre-back and a right-back after his move to the north London club and he starred in 22 encounters for the Gunners last season, helping the club to a second placed finish.
The three-time capped England international still has four years left on his current contract.
In other Arsenal transfer news, the Gunners have been left fuming by Manchester City’s attempt to lure Hector Bellerin.
