Arsene Wenger has revealed there is still a future for Jack Wilshere at Arsenal despite the on-loan midfielder casting his own doubts.
Wilshere made comments about his belief that his future may not be at Arsenal at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
However, the Arsenal boss has insisted Wilshere could still play for the Gunners and gave this one-line verdict on his future.
“I think he has, but that is my opinion,” said Wenger, as reported by the Express.
Wilshere completed a loan move to Bournemouth this summer after he was omitted from the England squad for the European Championships in France.
The injury-prone midfielder struggled to hold a regular place in Arsenal’s starting XI as he continually fought off set-backs.
However, the England international has made a bright start to his loan spell at Bournemouth, making seven league appearances already this season.
The 24 year-old completed his first full 90 minute game for the first time in almost two years during Bournemouth’s 0-0 draw against Tottenham two weeks ago.
He is also played a full game during their 2-0 loss against Middlesbrough and has started their last three successive Premier League matches.
Wilshere has already made more appearances for Bournemouth than he did while at Arsenal last season after he made just three league appearances in April and May.
In other Arsenal news, they have been handed an injury boost as this trio is set to return against Tottenham.
