Villa beat their fiercest rivals 1-0 in a League Cup encounter in 2015, under the stewardship of the now departed, Tim Sherwood.
Left-back Amavi was a crucial figure of that win last season, as his pin-point cross was headed in by Rudy Gestede, in front of a jubilant Holte End.

However, both teams now meet in the second-tier on Sunday afternoon at St Andrews, with Villa managed by former Blues boss, Steve Bruce, who won two promotions with club.
Former centre-back Bruce replaced the axed Roberto Di Matteo, in early October, where he is now unbeaten in his first three games in charge, recording back-to-back wins.
By contrast, Gary Rowett’s men are unbeaten in their last two home fixtures, but they did lose 2-0 to Burton Albion in their last league encounter.
At this moment in time, the Blues are six points ahead of their bitter rivals in the Championship table, with 14 games played.
Villa are 16th, with 17 points to their name, while Rowett’s side are a point off the final play-off spot, which is currently held by Bristol City.
