Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has given Jack Grealish his advice on Twitter after the youngster was caught up in more controversy.
According to the Daily Mail, Grealish, 21, infuriated guests at a Birmingham hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning after throwing a loud party, in which nitrous oxide balloons were used.
However, Xia has leaped to the defence of the England under-21 international, posting on his personal Twitter account that he should “focus on and off the pitch” and “choose the right type of people to be with”.
This comes after former Aston Villa star Stan Collymore also took to Twitter to offer the 20-year-old his advice, drawing on his playing career as experience.
Sunday’s incident is just one of a long line of misdemeanours the technically gifted winger has been involved with in his short Aston Villa career, which has included altercations with nitrous oxide as well as a picture of Grealish sprawled on the ground in Tenerife.
Villa’s number 40 has made a reasonable start to the new season, scoring two goals in his eight matches to date, and fans will now be hoping their starlet can put the antics behind him and focus on driving the Villans out of the Championship. In other Aston Villa news, this midfielder has signed with the club after agreeing terms.
