Jordan Amavi has been selected in the Aston Villa starting line-up to take on Fulham – and fans on Twitter were pleased with his inclusion.
The Midlands side recorded their first away victory since August 2015, when they beat Reading 2-1 on Tuesday night.
It was also the first win under recently-appointed manager Steve Bruce, who now welcomes London outfit Fulham to Villa Park.
But the promotion winning manager has decided to drop the out-of-sorts left-back Aly Cissokho, who conceded two penalties in his last two games, as Frenchman Amavi comes into the side.
Amavi has made seven appearances in the league this season and last started a league fixture, during the 1-1 draw against Newcastle.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Amavi starts hurray.

Not gonna jump on Aly's back – he tries his best for us and had a good start to the season. Amavi deserves a chance now. #AVFC

As a result of that victory in midweek, Villa climbed out of the relegation zone to 19th place, where they have 14 points from 13 games.
They are unbeaten at home this season, but have registered only the one win on home soil, as they search for back-to-back victories.
In other Aston Villa team news, club legend Ian Taylor has posted this message on Twitter, as Villa gear up to take on Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
