Micah Richards is closing in on a January transfer away from Aston Villa – and most fans on Twitter are hoping to see the back of him.
The Birmingham Mail cite a number of reports which suggest that the 28-year-old could be heading to Turkish side Trabzonspor in January.
Right-back Richards moved to Villa Park on a free transfer during the summer of 2015, but he endured the worst season in his career.
The former England international was highly criticised for his wretched performances on the field as Villa were relegated to the second tier for the first time in nearly three decades.
Unsurprisingly fans want to see the back of the former Manchester City defender, who has made only three appearances in all competitions this season.
One fan stated that if Richards were to depart the Midlands side then it would be good riddance to a player who is highly disliked amongst the terraces at Villa Park.
