Aston Villa have left winger Adama Traore out of their match day squad for their Championship clash against Huddersfield, with many supporters questioning on Twitter whether he is injured again.
The former Barcelona player recently returned from injury and came off the substitutes bench in his side’s 3-0 victory over Rotherham on Saturday, but many were disappointed to have seen him miss out again.
Traore is highly regarded by supporters even though he has been on the fringes of the team since his move from Camp Nou a year ago.
Numerous fans were in agreement that midfielder Ashley Westwood should not be named in the starting XI, as academy product Nathan Baker returns from injury on the substitute’s bench.
The centre-back will watch on as captain Tommy Elphick and new boy James Chester look to build upon their first clean sheet from the weekend.
The club will pay tribute to former striker Dalian Atkinson following his death on Monday, with fans set to take part in a minute’s applause in the 10th minute, which coincides with the number he wore for the claret & blue club.
Here are the fans reaction to the team news on Twitter.
