Aston Villa attacker Jack Grealish managed to provide three assists and was named man-of-the-match for the England Under-21s on Tuesday afternoon – and Villa fans took to Twitter to celebrate the youngster’s display.
The 21-year-old started the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in a central attacking role, helping to ensure a 5-0 victory for the young Three Lions.
Grealish managed to assist team-mate’s John Swift, Tammy Abraham and Joshua Onomah playing a key role in the win.
Villa fans took to social media following their young prospect’s performance, hailing the Solihull-born man for his creativity.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Grealish stayed at Villa Park in the summer, despite the club suffering relegation to England’s second tier in the last campaign.
He has made 10 appearances for the Midlands side in the Championship scoring two goals and providing one assist with the club currently struggling in the league.
Controversy has also followed Grealish to the Championship after reports stated that the young star was at a party at a Birmingham hotel which had to be shut down by the police in the early morning following other party incidents in the past.
The young prospect is now part of the England national set-up, switching allegiances from the Repubic of Ireland, who he represented at Under-17, 18 and 21 level.
In other Aston Villa team news, Nigel Spink has denied claims he is set to join Steve Bruce at Villa if he is given the managerial job.
