Jack Grealish put in another good display for Aston Villa against Bristol City on Saturday, and supporters took to Twitter to applaud the midfielder, despite their defeat.

Grealish, 20, opened the scoring for Villa after just five minutes with a fantastic volley that looped over the goalkeeper and into the top corner.

However, a second-half comeback from Bristol City, including two goals in quick succession, condemned Villa to their second Championship defeat of the season.

Tammy Abraham and Joe Bryan scored two quick goals to give the home side a lead for the first time in the match, and Lee Tomlin finished from a free-kick late-on to seal a 3-1 victory.

Despite another setback for Villa the fans praised the performance of midfielder Grealish.

Grealish has started the season in good form and has now scored two league goals, following his solo effort in the 3-0 win against Rotherham.

He only made nine appearances for the Midlands club last season due to injuries, poor form and a series of off-field controversies.

Grealish has also struggled with injuries and consistency throughout his career, but has shown in glimpses in the Premier League and for England’s Under-21 that he has real ability.

He played for the Republic of Ireland as a youngster before deciding to pledge his international duty to England, and has won the 2016 Toulon Tournament with the Under-21 team.
