Ian Taylor has stated Aston Villa “must do better” after they drew 0-0 with Ipswich on Saturday afternoon at Portman Road.
The club’s ambassador and former player was critical of the team’s performance as he claimed that Roberto Di Matteo’s side rode their luck during the game.
“Just back from Ipswich,” Taylor wrote on his personal Twitter account. “We rode our luck big time today… another point but it’s my old school report. Must do better.”
Here is Taylor providing his assessment on the Villa performance against Ipswich on his personal Twitter account.

The Midlands side kept their third clean sheet of the campaign at Portman Road, but Di Matteo’s men were not able to register one of their 14 shots on target.
In contrast Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich side had four of their 17 shots on target, with Villa keeping the majority of the possession.
Villa have now drawn five of their last six games, as pressure mounts on manager Di Matteo to produce his side’s first win since August 13, where they beat Rotherham 3-0.
They sit in 18th position in the Championship table with eight points having drawn five games, lost two and won one.
Villa Park will now host Rafa Benitez’ Newcastle side who have five wins from eight games, as they sit in third place with 15 points, despite losing their previous encounter 2-0 to Wolves.
In other Aston Villa team news, Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed the club’s summer signing will return for the Newcastle clash.
