Gabby Agbonlahor starts for Aston Villa against Norwich on Tuesday night – and fans on Twitter weren’t too pleased with his selection.
The 30-year-old, who made a return to the first-team setup following Steve Bruce’s appointment in mid-October, starts just his second game of the Championship campaign.
Agbonlahor scored only one goal during Villa’s humiliating relegation last term from the Premier League and that sole strike was against tonight’s opponents.
He now starts alongside the likes of Jonathan Kodjia, Jordan Ayew and Jack Grealish as Villa aim to secure their first win on the road since October.
One fan stated that Agbonlahor’s pace and power will hurt tonight’s opponent, but others weren’t pleased to see his name in the starting line-up.
Another supporter believes Bruce is totally wrong to select the highly criticised star as academy graduate Rushian Hepburn-Murphy should be selected in front of him.
But one fan advised the Villa faithful to get behind the team and trust Bruce in the decision he makes.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Agbonlahor has made five Championship appearances this term, failing to score a goal, but he has only played 136 minutes of football.
Bruce’s side recorded a win during their last fixture when Jack Grealish scored a stunning late goal to secure all three points against Wigan on home soil.
It means the Midlands side are now four points off the final play-off spot, which is currently occupied by Yorkshire giants Leeds.
In other Aston Villa team news, this first-teamer has said no chance to a play-off spot.
