Ryan Babel has shared a picture of him and his former Liverpool team-mate Javier Mascherano training for the Reds ahead of the duo meeting again on Saturday on the pitch.
The former Anfield pair now play in Spain with Mascherano at Barcelona and Babel at Deportivo La Coruna.
The two side’s are set to clash on Saturday in La Liga at the famous Camp Nou and Babel is looking forward to playing against one of his old team-mate’s.
“Tomorrow against a old teammate,” posted Babel on his personal Twitter account alongside a picture training together at Melwood.
Babel, 29, was once considered one of Europe’s brightest talent’s.
The former Netherlands international broke through the academy at Ajax before completing a move to Liverpool for a £11.5million fee in 2007.
He failed to make much of an impact in the Premier League and has since returned to Ajax alongside spells at Hoffenheim, Kasimpasa and Al Ain before moving to Spain in the summer.
Meanwhile, Mascherano, 32, starred at Liverpool following his move from West Ham in the 2007 winter window.
The defensive player earned a £21.6million move to La Liga giants Barcelona in 2010, where he has been since, helping his side win four league titles.
