Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has issued an update on Adam Lallana’s fitness by revealing the midfielder will return to full training next week.

The news is a boost for the Reds, as although it looks as though the 28-year-old will miss their clash with Crystal Palace this Sunday, but he could return for the clash with Watford a week later.

The 31-time England international has missed Liverpool’s last four matches with a hamstring injury, and last featured in the 1-1 draw with Man City in March.

Liverpool announced the update on Lallana’s fitness via their official Twitter account.

Klopp said: “Adam is in a good way working with the rehab coach. He should be back in full training next week.”

Lallana has been in fine form for the Anfield club this season and has contributed to 14 goals (scored seven, assisted seven) in his 27 Premier League games this term.

Last time out Liverpool beat a resolute West Brom side 1-0 thanks to a header from Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool currently sit third in the Premier League and are two points ahead of Man City in fourth, although Pep Guardiola’s side do have a game in hand.

The side have coped surprisingly well without Lallana and have picked up 10 points out of 12 since in his absence.

However there is no doubt that his return will be timely for the Reds as they look to continue in their quest for a top four finish.
