Ben Davies believes that Tottenham will be confident going into their game against Arsenal.

Spurs face an away match against their north London rivals on Sunday in the Premier League and are currently without a win in their last six games.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday and have been heavily criticised for their performance.

Davies, 23, played 90 minutes in the defeat to Leverkusen and could not help his side slip to a European defeat, which leaves them with serious work to do in order to make the Champions League knockout rounds.

The defender feels that Spurs are a confident group and they will be prepared for Arsenal.

“If we win on Sunday it’ll give us all a big boost going into the international break,” Davies said, as quote day the club’s official website. “We’re a confident group, we’ve shown we can put good performances in against any team and Sunday is going to be no different.

“We have to be ready for what they’re going to throw at us but on the other hand they’re not going to see it as an easy game either.”

Davies is likely to be on the bench against Arsenal as Pochettino recalls his first-choice left-back Danny Rose.

Spurs may also be handed a major boost as the club’s talisman Harry Kane could me a comeback, following a 10-game layout through injury after sustaining ankle ligament damage against Sunderland in September.
