Christian Benteke’s agent has revealed that Liverpool have had interest from many Premier League and European sides for the striker.

Benteke has fallen out of favour with boss Jurgen Klopp and the striker is expected to move on to make room for another striker.

The Belgian international scored nine goals in 29 league appearances for the Merseyside giants this season, and new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is among those reported to be considering a bid.

The striker joined Liverpool from Aston Villa for £35million just last summer, and it is widely expected that if resold Liverpool would make a loss.

Today, the Daily Star reported that in an interview with Tuttermercatoweb his agent Eris Kismet has hinted there is also interest from Arsenal.

“If there have been contacts with Chelsea and Arsenal? Many clubs want the player, it’s obvious,” Kismet told Tuttomercatoweb.

“But he is now only thinking to do well in the European Championship. He wants to win the competition with Belgium. We’ll think about his future later.”

He added: “Interest from Italy? There are only rumours, but there was some contacts with Serie A clubs six months ago.

“Now, however, there is nothing. He is currently a player of Liverpool, we will analyse the situation later.”

Speaking on Wednesday at a press conference with the Belgium team, Benteke admitted that it if he is not in Klopp’s plans he cant see him staying at Liverpool.

“At 25 years old, I’m neither old nor young but it’s important to play,” Benteke said.”I still have a contract at Liverpool and I’d like to stay there, if I remain in the coach’s plans.”If that’s not the case, it will become difficult to stay. I’ll think about if after the Euros.”
