Big name trio Ashley Williams, Yannick Bolasie and Romelu Lukaku could be in line to make their first Everton starts of the season in Tuesday’s EFL Cup second round clash against Yeovil.
Ronald Koeman is expected to reshuffle his pack from Saturday’s win against West Brom and with the three players all coming off of the bench at the weekend, the Dutch manager may opt to start them and work on their match fitness.
The former Southampton boss is expected to make wholesale changes, with the match against Yeovil being sandwiched between the clash against the Baggies and Stoke on Saturday.
The Toffees will adapt their formation from the weekend with a 4-2-3-1 lineup accommodating wingers.
Summer signing Bolasie and Aaron Lennon are expected to pose the threat on the wings, with Lukaku spearheading the Toffees attack.
It is expected that Joel Robles will be used as the Toffees cup goalkeeper during the campaign, unless Everton sign another keeper in the transfer window.
Bryan Oviedo and youngsters Tyias Browning and Matthew Pennington could join Williams in defence against the League Two club.
Meanwhile, the Dutch manager could hand Tom Cleverley the chance to impress alongside summer addition Idrissa Gueye, with the club reportedly ready to listen to offers for senior midfield duo Darron Gibson and James McCarthy.
Yeovil have had a poor start to the new campaign, with their only wins coming on the opening day against Notts County and their first round EFL Cup tie against Walsall.
The Glovers have not scored a goal in over 180 minutes of football and this will be the first time the south west club have played against Everton competitively.
