Slaven Bilic has revealed that Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini are likely to feature in Sunday’s clash against Manchester City.
Payet picked up a knock in West Ham’s season opener against Chelsea and Lanzini suffered a knee injury while away with Argentina in the build-up to the Rio Olympics.
Payet was left out of the club’s match against Bournemouth on Sunday. Lanzini hasn’t featured in the Hammers’ new campaign yet.
Bilic revealed on Wednesday, as quoted by the official West Ham Twitter account, that one of the duo could make an appearance on the bench for Thursday’s clash against Astra Giurgiu.
But the manager explained that the weekend Manchester City match is more likely in terms of playing time.

The Hammers have suffered a number of injuries in recent weeks with Aaron Creswell, Andy Caroll and Andre Ayew all out with long-term injuries.
However, the update on Payet and Lanzini will provide a huge boost to Bilic and the east London side’s squad.
The pair are widely regarded as the club’s two outstanding players and are capable of injecting plenty of attacking creativity to the side.
West Ham have scored seven goals in the opening five matches of the new campaign.
In other West Ham team news, Rotherham have made an approach to sign Hammers youngster Reece Burke on loan.
