Yannick Bolasie has revealed that Romelu Lukaku has been “badgering him for ages” to move to Everton this summer.
Following his move to Ronald Koeman’s new look side for £28million from Crystal Palace, Bolasie claimed that the Goodison Park star had been hounding him to move to Merseyside.
The Belgium forward has been linked with a move to former club Chelsea throughout the summer and this revelation is a hint that the powerful striker may yet stay at Everton.
“Bolasie says Lukaku has been badgering him ‘for ages’ to join Everton,” as quoted by Liverpool Echo journalist Phil Kirkbride on his personal Twitter account.

This news will encourage supporters as it could mean that Lukaku’s long term plan is to remain at Goodison Park.
The 23-year-old still stands as Everton’s record signing following his £28million move from Chelsea in 2014.
Lukaku has starred in 127 encounters for the club, which includes an initial season-long loan before his permanent move, scoring 61 goals.
The striker still has three-years left on his current contract, but he missed the Toffees season opener due to a heel injury, revealed by Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur.
The cut in Romelu Lukaku's heel hasn't healed completely. It got stitched up after Espanyol. Only reason why he didn't play today. #EFC

However, the attacker is expected to be available for the weekend against West Brom in their second Premier League clash, as they look to pick up their first three-points of the season.
