West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to welcome Joe Hart to the club after his move from Manchester City was confirmed.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has joined the Hammers on a season-long loan for the 2017-18 campaign after securing a move back to Premier League action.

West Ham announced the news on their official website and on their official Twitter account on Tuesday evening.

Hart becomes the Hammers’ second signing of the summer after defender Pablo Zabaleta also joined West Ham from Manchester City.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan in Serie A with Torino, where he was a mainstay between the sticks playing 38 league and cup games.

However, prior to being farmed out on loan the England ace had been City’s first choice shot-stopper for a number of years and he helped the side win two Premier League titles.

During that time Hart racked up 348 appearances across all competitions for the club, and won four Premier League Golden Glove awards.

The London Stadium faithful were delighted to see the goalkeeper join their club and they took to Twitter to welcome him.

Hart has been capped on 71 occasions by England, and he featured for the full 90 minutes in the 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw with Scotland last month.
