Scott Sinclair is undergoing a Celtic medical – and their fans are overjoyed at the prospect of bringing in the proven Premier League winger.

The former Manchester City star has been a long term target of Celtic and Villa confirmed on Friday that they were weighing up an offer from the Hoops for Sinclair.

On Friday, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers said he hoped a deal for the winger would be done by Sunday night.

The Bhoys have already completed deals for Moussa Dembele, Kolo Toure and Kristoffer Ajer this summer ahead of the new Scottish Premier League season.

Rodgers has been desperate to set up a third reunion with the former England under-21 international after working with him at Chelsea and Swansea.

The Villains decided to buy Sinclair for £2.5million last summer, and in 27 Premier League appearances, Sinclair scored two goals.

With the arrival seemingly imminent fans are excited about the deal but have called on the club to not end their transfer business yet.

In other Celtic transfer news, Rodgers has rejected the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers.
