James Forrest struggled to make in impact against Borussia Monchengladbach – and the Celtic fans were critical of his performance on Twitter.
Celtic suffered a 2-0 defeat to the German outfit on Wednesday night in their Champions League group stage meeting.
Andre Hahn and Lars Stindl scored second-half goals to complete an away victory at Celtic Park.
The result leaves Celtic rooted at the bottom of the group, with Barcelona extending their lead at the top with a 4-0 victory against Manchester City.
Forrest, 25, was replaced in the 73rd minute by Patrick Roberts after failing to offer a serious goal threat.
The attacking midfielder has been a constant feature in Brendan Rodgers’ side, but the Scottish giants were well beaten by Gladbach.
The club’s supporters were extremely disappointed with the display of Forrest and one fan claimed that he was “terrible”.

Forrest has now made 18 appearances for the Scottish champions this season, scoring five goals and supplying five assists in the process.
The Scotland international was in impressive touch at the beginning of the season, but his form has dipped in recent matches.
Celtic will be seeking revenge in their next European outing, which is the away fixture against Gladbach on 1 November.
