Cristian Gamboa was named in Celtic’s starting XI on Tuesday night – and fans expressed their concern on Twitter with the decision.
The Bhoys face Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League group stages and will be looking for revenge after the 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture.
Brendan Rodgers has made just one change to his side, with Gamboa replacing the injured Jozo Simunovic in the side.
Celtic’s preferred right-back Mikael Lustig will play at centre-back on Tuesday as Gamboa gets an opportunity to impress.
The 27-year-old has failed to cement his position in the side this season and will be under pressure to deliver against Gladbach.
Celtic supporters voiced their worry about the capabilities of the defender and feel he could be a major weakness in the side.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Fear for Celtic the night with Gamboa playing, don't rate him at all. Simunovic is a big miss.

Still not convinced by Gamboa, hope he proves me wrong though. We'll do well to get anything from this, gotta take our chances going forward

Izzy and Gamboa full backs. Single figures and I'm proud.

Big night for Izaguirre and Gamboa at full back, need a good defensive performance from them first and foremost.

Celtic signed full-back Gamboa in the summer transfer window from West Brom as Rodgers looked to strengthen his squad.
The defender has made 51 appearances for national side Costa Rica and has two years of experience in the Premier League.
He has made just eight appearances for the Scottish champions since his arrival and will want to impress in the crucial Champions League match.
In other Celtic team news, Chris Sutton has delivered a Twitter verdict on the club’s midfield duo.
