Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has celebrated signing a new contract with the Hoops with a goal – and Bhoys supporters took to Twitter to celebrate his strike.
The Australian midfielder opened the scoring on Wednesday evening in the Scottish League Cup clash with a tidy finish against Motherwell.
New striker signing Moussa Dembele doubled the scoring on the 34th minute mark with a goal from the penalty spot.
The Hoops made the semi-finals of the competition last season and they will be looking to push further and add more silverware to their cabinet this season.
It was announced on Tuesday that Rogic had signed a new three-year deal with the club and the 23-year-old has returned the club’s faith in him immediately.
Fans of the Scottish giants are delighted that Rogic netted so soon after extending his stay with the club, and that they’ll be seeing more of him in the future.
Fans took to Twitter to share their views on the midfielder’s goal:

The Scottish Sun reported that Valencia, Fiorentina and Arsenal were interested in signing the Australian earlier this summer, as Rogic only had 12 months remaining on his contract at the time.
The Australian international joined Celtic in 2013 and has made 57 appearances in all competitions to date, scoring 10 goals and supplying eight assists from his central midfield position.
Rogic was used as a second half substitute in the opening day victory over Hearts and looks set to be an important player under Rodgers.
Celtic will be aiming to compete in both domestic and European competitions this season, and Rogic could be in line to feature in the crucial Champions League qualifying legs against Israeli outfit Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
