New signing Scott Sinclair wowed Celtic fans on Twitter after a superb performance against his old side Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old was a threat to City’s defence throughout the match as he looked to prove a point to City fans and staff alike, as the Group C rivals drew 3-3 with Pep Guardiola’s side.

Sinclair spent three years at Eastlands following an £8million move from Brendan Rodgers’ former side Swansea, but made just 19 appearances in three years as he was shipped out on loan to West Brom and Aston Villa.

A disappointing spell at Villa followed last term after signing permanently, as he scored just two goals in 27 appearances in a dismal campaign that saw the Midlands giants relegated.

Fans are delighted with the versatile forward’s display against his old side, with many believing that Sinclair has finally rediscovered his best form in Glasgow.

Here are a selection of their tweets:

Sinclair moved north to Celtic earlier this summer from Aston Villa, teaming up with former Liverpool boss Rodgers for the third time after working with him at Swansea and Chelsea.

Celtic earned their first point of the Champions League campaign thanks to a superb brace from French wonderkid Moussa Dembele, as the Scottish Champions took the lead on three spearate occasions.

The point against the likes of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and John Stones leaves the Hoops in third place in Group C, as they host German giants Gladbach on three weeks’ time.

In other Celtic news, fans reacted as Moussa Dembele sent the Hoops fans into delirium.
