Kevin De Bruyne is being assessed after he was injured for Manchester City on Saturday – and the Celtic fans have reacted with delight on Twitter over the news.
The in-form Belgian playmaker is being monitored after he limped off in the 3-1 win against Swansea in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old appeared to go off with a hamstring injury, meaning he would be unlikely to be play against Celtic.
City travel to Celtic Park on Wednesday night for the second of their six Champions League group games.
Celtic suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat to Barcelona in the last set of group fixtures at the Camp Nou, while City recored a 4-0 victory against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Celtic supporters believe that their side may be able to pull up an upset if De Bruyne his sidelined with an injury.

De Bruyne has been in outstanding form at the start of the new campaign, scoring two goals and supplying six assists in nine matches across all competitions.
The ex-Chelsea man is regarded as one of City’s most influential players and would be a huge blow for Pep Guardiola’s side.
He moved to City in 2015 after impressing at German side Wolfsburg.
De Bruyne scored 20 goals and supplied 37 assists for the Bundelisga club and announced himself on the European stage as one of the most deadly attacking midfielders.
Brendan Rodgers will hope that home advantage will give Celtic a chance of getting a result.
Both sides currently boast 100 per cent starts to their new league season and are comfortable at the top of their respective divisions.
