Celtic fans were delighted on Twitter as striker Moussa Dembele opened the scoring against Manchester City in the third minute in their Wednesday evening Champions League tie.
The early goal put the Hoops in front, but Pep Guardiola’s side levelled within 10 minutes following a strike from Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho.
Raheem Sterling then put Manchester City behind again with an own goal, but the England international levelled with the two sides going in 2-2 at half time.
However, Dembele’s strike raised hopes for the Scottish giants following a humiliating 7-0 defeat in their first Champions League tie against La Liga side Barcelona.
Celtic fans took to social media to celebrate their striker’s goal for the club with one fan even calling on his side to park the bus.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Dembele, 20, completed a move to Celtic Park in the summer from Championship side Fulham.
He has hit the ground running at the Scottish giants and the young Frenchman has scored 10 goals in his first 15 appearances for the club.
The striker has helped the Hoops start the new campaign in impressive form with Brendan Rodgers’ side picking up 16 points from their first six league matches.
They will be looking to continue their impressive form with a tie against seventh placed Dundee coming up.
In other Celtic team news, one of the team’s defenders is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
