Leigh Griffiths has missed a training session ahead of the Rangers clash – and the club’s supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news.
Sky Sports revealed that the 26-year-old striker was absent from club’s training and fans have voiced their concern over his availability ahead of a huge game against their Ibrox rivals.
Griffiths has been in good form at the start of the season, scoring two league goals in the first three matches, and looks set to replicate his impressive form from last season.
Celtic fans won’t be happy if he misses the match, but they believe that youngster Moussa Dembele is good enough to replace him.
Huge blow if Griffiths is out. Time for big @MDembele_10 to step up! Let's go big man! Moussa Dembele, Moussa Dembele….

lol at people being worried about Griffiths.
Dembele will tear through that defence no bother.

The other day I joked about Griffiths being injured, praying I haven't jinxed anything! ??

Griffiths will be a bad miss if he's no fit for Saturday, but I'd have started Dembele up front himself away at Barca anyway…

If Griffiths is out do we go with Dembele through middle or move Sinclair to middle and play Forrest and Roberts on wings?

If Griffiths is out for Saturday it's a huge blow.

Celtic are yet to announce whether Griffiths will be available for Saturday’s 12pm match but his absence would be a huge boost for Rangers.
The striker has starred in 115 encounters for the club scoring 74 goals and has played a key role in helping Celtic win the league the last two years.
New signing Moussa Dembele would be the likely replacement but the 20-year-old has only started one league game so far this season.
Dembele joined from Fulham this summer and has already become a firm fan-favourite following his 90th minute winner against Astana in a European qualifier.
A win for either side in the highly anticipated Old Firm clash would give them a lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
In other Celtic team news, three senior players have been left out of the club’s Champions League squad.
